Rally to Demand an End to Stop and Frisk!

On Thursday, July 29th CPR will be holding a rally at Foley Square at noon to demand a real end to stop-and-frisk abuses. Its been nearly 8 years since the historic decision in Floyd v the City of New York, where a federal court found the NYPD’s stop-and-frisk program to be unconstitutional (Note: The court did not find the practice of stop-and-frisk to be unconstitutional, just the NYPD’s program.) In the 8 years since Floyd, the NYPD has continued to act unlawfully – overwhelmingly targeting black and Latinx New Yorkers and underreporting street stops
We will gather at 11:45am and the rally will begin at 12pm.
