Join the fight to end perpetual punishment in New York State. On April 29th, the Clean Slate campaign is organizing a Second Chance Month Advocacy Day from 10 am to 4 pm. Join us for community events, meetings with legislators, and a press conference! RSVP here.

Together, we are calling on New York State to pass comprehensive Clean Slate legislation to automatically expunge conviction records and end perpetual punishment. This legislation is crucial to ensure that the 2.3 million New Yorkers with conviction histories, who are disproportionately Black and brown, can fully and fairly participate in our shared communities and access the jobs, housing, and education we all need.

Join us on April 29th for a Clean Slate Advocacy Day. RSVP here. If you’d like to help spread the word, you can use this social media toolkit. If you have any questions, reach out to Katie at kschaffer@communityalternatives.org.
