Bronx summer concert series

Main stage at section 9

The Bronx Summer Concert Series at Orchard Beach kicks off this Sunday, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., with Salsa legend Domingo Quinones.

The concert series is sponsored this year by FreshDirect, Macy’s, Empire City Casino, Con Edison, Coca-Cola, BronxCare, United Healthcare, Latino Sports Ventures, The National Jazz Museum in Harlem, B&H, The Mall at Bay Plaza, the Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation, The Bronx Tourism Council and New York City Parks department.

With weeks left in the summer, this year’s concert series lineup, who will perform next to the Orchard Beach boardwalk at the main stage by Section 9, will feature acts such as:

July 24: Rey de la Paz and the Karle Browne Band
July 31: Luis Damon and Willy Valentin Y Su Orchestra
August 7: Tipica 73
August 14: Mambo Legends
August 21: The Nelson Gonzalez Band
August 28: Los Hermanos Moreno
