Please join Bronx Climate Justice North
for
our next general meeting. We are at a crossroads in our work as we face the
advent of Trumpism and the ongoing and profound needs of our borough. On
April 2nd, we’ll share hopes, fears, and dreams. Where we’ve been… and
where we need to go. And… how to get there. Help us plan the next steps
of our still-young community organization, as we continue to uncover the
ways that fighting for climate and social justice in the Bronx are
connected to healing what’s wrong in Albany and Washington. We’ll plan how
to deepen our work to empower friends and partners on the front lines,
whose leadership we can learn from and support. Join us — let’s talk, eat,
and plan!
We’ll also watch and discuss “Disobedience,” the
fast-paced 2016 film about climate change activists engaging in bold civil
disobedience actions around the world. The film will connect us to
strategies, tactics, and social movement history that will aid us in our
struggle to resist the Trump administration and build a world that is safe
for future generations.
