Democracy in New York: Defending and Securing Voting Rights Forum
New Yorkers for Inclusive Democracy, in partnership with City & State and GoVoteNYC, presents a pivotal forum addressing voting rights in New York State. This event will convene elected officials, advocates, legal experts, and community leaders to discuss barriers to voting, proactive policy solutions, and strategies to strengthen democracy for all New Yorkers. Key topics include Automatic Voter Registration (AVR), the Democracy During Detention Act (DDDA), and voter outreach and registration initiatives.
Our Executive Director, Crystal Walthall, will be one of the panelists discussing voter outreach to underrepresented communities.
